How long will immunotherapy take to work?

In general, depending on different cancers, time to response to immunotherapy is around one to two months. However, as different patients respond to treatments differently, and most of immunotherapy take a while to work, patients and their families may be anxious to see whether they will respond to the treatment.16 And if it does work, some patients are always wondering how long immunotherapy will control the cancer or whether the cancer will come back. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions on this. Doctors will give you advice and help you regularly monitor how you react to treatments.
